Privacy statement
We collect as little as we can. This page tells you what we do collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us.
In short
No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social media buttons that follow you. Our fonts, images and videos come from our own website, not from other companies. We only get your personal data when you send us a message.

This website belongs to Juwix BV, Voorne 12, 2980 Zoersel, Belgium. VAT and company number: BE 1023.554.688. We are responsible for your personal data on this website (the “controller” in the GDPR).

What we collect, and why
1. When you use the contact form
- What: your name, your email address, your organisation if you fill it in, the topic you choose and your message.
- Why: to answer your question and, if you ask for it, to make you a proposal.
- Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (GDPR article 6.1.b), and our legitimate interest in answering messages (article 6.1.f).
- How long: as long as we need to answer you and follow up, and at most 2 years after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the project and for our accounts, as the law requires.
The form is handled by our host, Netlify (see below). It also has a hidden field that catches spam robots. That field doesn’t collect anything about you.
2. When you mail us
We get your email address, your name and whatever you write. We use it to answer you, on the same legal basis and for the same time as the contact form.
3. When you visit the website
Like every website host, our host Netlify briefly records technical data when you load a page: your IP address, your browser, the page and the time. This keeps the website secure and working (our legitimate interest, article 6.1.f). We don’t use this data to find out who you are, and we don’t combine it with other data.
4. Your display mode
When you choose Light, Dark or Low friction, your browser remembers that choice on your own device (in “local storage”). It is not a cookie, it is not sent to us, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data.
Who else sees your data
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives the contact form. Netlify is based in the United States. Our agreement with Netlify includes a data processing agreement with the safeguards the GDPR asks for when data leaves the European Union.
- Google provides our email. The emails you send us, and the form messages we receive, are stored in our Google mailbox. Google uses the safeguards the GDPR asks for when data leaves the European Union.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone for marketing.
Links to other websites
We link to the websites of our clients and to sources such as the W3C. When you click such a link, the privacy rules of that website apply.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you which data we have about you
- correct it
- delete it
- use it less, or stop using it
- give it to you in a file you can take elsewhere
You can also object when we use your data on the basis of our legitimate interest. Mail info@juwix.be. We answer within one month.
Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
