The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is an EU directive requiring that certain digital products and services meet accessibility standards by June 2025. It applies to businesses that sell digital products or services — including websites, apps, e-commerce platforms and more — within the EU.
Most private sector businesses with digital products or services targeting EU customers are required to comply. Public sector organisations have been bound by the Web Accessibility Directive since 2018. Use our free EAA quick check tool to find out instantly.
A standard accessibility audit takes 3–5 business days depending on the size of your product. You'll receive a detailed report with all issues categorised by severity, plus a prioritised remediation roadmap your team can act on immediately.
Both! We work on existing products as well as new ones. Our approach is the same: audit what you have, identify the gaps, and systematically remediate them — or design the next version correctly from day one.
WCAG 2.1 AA is the legally required standard for most organisations and strikes the best balance between accessibility and implementation effort. AAA is the highest level and adds additional criteria — typically targeting very specific use cases. We always target AA as a minimum and recommend going further where it makes a meaningful impact.
